At Arctos Guides, we provide professional, guided rock climbing trips and instructional courses across BC. Whether you are tying into a rope outdoors for the first time or targeting iconic multi-pitch summits, our expert, certified guides focus on safety, skill-building, and unforgettable mountain adventures.
BC Climbing Season & Timing
- Peak Season: May through September.
- Shoulder Season: Lower-elevation valley and coastal crags often stay dry and climbable into October.
- Alpine Routes: High-alpine rock trips typically wrap up by mid-September before the winter snow arrives.

Whether you are looking for a family day at one of the local crags in Slocan, Nelson, Castlegar or a multi-pitch adventurein the Kootenays or in one of BC's rock climbing major destinations, like Squamish or the Canadian Rockies, we can provide a safe and fun experience for you. The West Kootenays are quickly becoming a rock climbing destination, with tons of new routes being developed on a yearly basis. There are numerous rock types here from gneiss to granite and even limestone. We cater to all abilities from beginners to advanced climbers.

We offer private instruction. Whether you're looking to set up a top rope for the first time or you're a seasoned rock climber looking to take a rock rescue course, we have you covered. We specialize in private instruction and custom rock climbing trips. Drop a line and lets chat.



Pricing
$700/ day plus $100 per additional person
We offer reduced rates for organized groups of 4 to 6 people.
Mulit-pitch routes have a lower (1:2 max) guide to guests ratio.
All are welcome, we cater to your needs.
