Classic routes such as the West Ridge of Pigeon Spire, Lions Way and East Post Spire are incredible routes to cut your teeth on alpine climbing. For the grade, the rock quality, position and scenery is nothing short of world class. Steeper climbs like Ears Between or Surf's Up or McTech Arete are excellent routes for those who want to push into the harder grades. Longer classics such are the Kain Route on Bugaboo Spire or the Snowpatch Route on Snowpatch Spire are also routes to consider.

Fly into Calgary or Spokane and rent a car, or take a shuttle to Golden, BC and we can arrange transportation for you.
When to climb in the Bugaboos?
Prime time in the Bugaboos is late June through early September. Early July makes for nice travel on the glaciers, long days and reasonable passage through the Bugaboo- Snowpatch Col.
Who should come climb in the Bugaboos?
You should have a sound level of fitness as the days are long and the terrain is rugged. Previous alpine climbing experience will help, but we can accommodate beginners who are eager to learn.
