Before enrolling, participants must meet the following safety and skill requirements:

  • Avalanche Training: Completion of an AST 1 (Avalanche Skills Training 1) or an equivalent international certification.
  • Backcountry Experience: Prior alpine ski touring or splitboarding experience in unmanaged mountain terrain.
  • Skiing Ability: Strong, confident ski skills capable of fluidly navigating expert terrain (double black diamond runs).
